Most of us who have been on DailyKos for awhile know alegre has been one of the most dedicated Hillary supporters on the site. alegre was to the Hillary camp what TomP was to the Edwards camp, and icebergslim was to the Obama camp... a good place for videos, mojo, and trollish retorts from detractors.
Edwards left the race gracefully and Hillary supporters went on strike.
Once upon a time there lived a family upon the hill. It was largely a happy family, with many members and many new fields to sow. The granaries were burgeoning, the children were well fed, and the future looked enticing. The children loved their parents and each other. They played well and often.
I just watched the Jeremiah Wright interview on PBS’ Bill Moyer’s Journal.
I began the interview listening intently, wanting to see what Reverend Wright was made of, how he would fare with one of the fairest journalists on television. Moyer’s was his only option, as no other outlet would allow him to make his arguments in depth.
I ended the conversation (yes, it was more a conversation than an interview as is Moyer’s style) loving the man.
Yes, loving the man. Me, a 40 year old white atheist concluding that Jeremiah Wright was a man worthy of love, respect, and my undivided attention.
We had great turnout for the Legislative Caucus for the 46th Legislative District. Obama gained two delegates to the next level, one for the 7th Congressional Caucus and one for the 1st.
Buzzflash reveals a known link between Drudge and the Clinton Camp. Originally reported by the International Herald Tribune last October, Tracy Sefl, a former DNC official provides the link.
I have been to one professional football game in my life. The Green Bay Packers came to Seattle over a season ago to play the Seahawks in a regular season game (on a Monday Night, if I remember correctly). A friend of mine bought tickets for the two of us as a gift.
I have brought you here this evening to tell you why your candidate sucks. I hate to have to tell you this, but the itch in my fingers is just too unbearable.
To begin with: your candidate never brings me cookies. I like cookies, and I have yet to receive a cookie from anyone near your candidate's campaign.
Next: Your candidate's advocates throw donuts at my candidate's advocates. Donuts are fattening, unhealthy with transfat, and everyone is supposed to be on a diet according to the MSM.
Finally: Your candidate did something to someone/something/sometime which is so horrifically bad that I could never support them for anything/anywhere/anytime.
I spent most of my Thanksgiving with family and friends of shared values. We had a nice day and evening. I appreciate them very much.
Tonight though I came home alone and felt the need to connect with the other part of family, the part of my family which many of you must have struggled with the past few hours.
Phone conversations usually begin innocent enough: there are talk of kids, health, daily life. There are concerns about work, how people are managing. Things start to appear OK on the other side of the world.
But then the germ of a seed takes root in a conversation.
My mother wanted to know if I was going to vote for Hillary.
